How Retail Pilot collects, uses and protects your data. We believe in complete transparency.
Plain English Summary: We collect only what’s needed to give you smart shop recommendations — your shop details, products, prices and daily sales feedback. We never sell your data. Delete everything anytime by messaging us.
1 Who We Are
Retail Pilot is a WhatsApp-first AI assistant for small Indian shop owners, operated at retailpilot.in. We deliver daily product suggestions, pricing nudges and sales tracking through WhatsApp. Contact: +91 78922 73227.
2 Information We Collect
What you provide:
- Shop details: name, business type, city, area, pincode.
- Products: names, categories, cost price, selling price, stock quantity.
- Sales feedback: GOOD, OK or SLOW daily responses.
- WhatsApp number: your unique identifier. We don’t store your WA name or profile photo.
We do NOT collect: Aadhaar, PAN, bank or UPI details, location beyond city/pincode, photos, media or phone contacts.
3 How We Use Your Information
- Daily suggestions: products, prices and sales history power your AI recommendations.
- Learning: GOOD/OK/SLOW feedback trains the system specifically for your shop.
- Communication: morning tips, evening check-ins and support via WhatsApp.
- Account management: recognising your shop, managing subscription status.
We never use your data for advertising, never build a profile for third parties, and never share individual shop data with other merchants.
4 How We Share Your Information
- Anthropic (Claude API): shop and product data is sent to generate your daily suggestion. No government IDs or financial data included.
- Meta / WhatsApp: message delivery via WhatsApp Business API, governed by Meta’s Terms.
- Cloud hosting: secure infrastructure with strict data processing agreements.
- Legal: we may disclose data if required by Indian law or court order.
We never sell, rent or trade your personal data to any third party.
5 Data Retention
- Active accounts: data retained and used to improve recommendations.
- Inactive accounts: archived after 12 months of inactivity.
- Deletion: send DELETE MY DATA to +91 78922 73227. Confirmed within 7 business days.
6 Data Security
- Encrypted PostgreSQL databases with SSL connections.
- End-to-end encryption on WhatsApp messages via Meta.
- Production data access restricted to authorised personnel only.
- AWS Lambda serverless infrastructure — automatic user isolation.
⚠️ No internet transmission is 100% secure. If you discover a vulnerability, contact us immediately on WhatsApp.
7 Your Rights
- Access: request a summary of all data we hold about your shop.
- Correction: update info directly through the WhatsApp menu.
- Deletion: request complete erasure of all your data.
- Portability: request a CSV export of your product list and sales history.
- Withdraw: stop using the service at any time.

8 WhatsApp & Meta Platform
We operate through WhatsApp Business API (Meta). Interactions are also governed by Meta’s WhatsApp Terms and Privacy Policy. We will never send unsolicited promotional messages.
9 Cookies & Website
- No tracking: no Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or behavioural tracking on our website.
- Google Fonts: loaded from Google CDN, subject to Google’s policy.
- No web accounts: all service interaction happens through WhatsApp.
10 Children’s Privacy
Retail Pilot is for adult shop owners (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Contact us to delete any such account.
11 Changes to This Policy
Significant changes will be notified via WhatsApp at least 14 days before taking effect. Current policy always at retailpilot.in/privacy.html.
